Michael, If you really need to know which client is installed. HKEY_CLASSES-ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command The default value will have the path to the file that is registered. If your client wants a record in their sent box, the easiest would be to use the mailto with a shellexec api call. The only thing that you can't add to clients with the mailto is an attachment.
