Code 39 allows for spaces in the barcode. That is why I reccomend you do an alltrim to the data prior to adding astericks.
The minimum font size that will work with a laser printer, is 28pts. Anything less may not be readable... Depends on scanner. I have found that if you can make it 36pts minimum, the scanner will be able toread it everytime.
