A computer crashed here and wouldn't start chrome. One solution is to delete the user profile for Chrome. When I went to %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\ there were 65000+ .tmp files all dated 2/21/2012. I have no idea how they were created.
