Before PowerPoint people used to use a simple word processor and printed on overhead slides. Now people pack all kinds of windows, video, music, flying words, backgrounds, and nobody listens to the presenter.
When I used to do work for the Army, my boss would constantly make me cram more and more into each slide, utilizing the "more is better" theory. I swear to you that most of the people in the audience had no idea what we were talking about because they just assumed people knew what the acronyms meant. ----- Original Message ----- From: Man-wai Chang <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Cc: Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2012 7:16 AM Subject: Re: [NF] PowerPoint makes us stupid Without Powerpoint, how do you prepare and show a presentation? :) > The commander of U.S. Central Command, Marine Gen.
