Hi ! I've been looking into doing exactly this. One of my clients bought a Wacom signature tablet without asking me and wants me to add this feature, the problem the model he bought expects a pdf and the sdk comes with a com program that doesn't work with VFP, anyway using VFP to generate a pdf that he can generated otherwise is an overkill, specially when cannot control the device in any shape or form, and the user would have to indicate exactly where the signature will be placed and where the file will be saved. The idea was to take the images and place the filename on a table so I can retrieve them later without any user intervention. In this case, it's easier and quicker to directly use the software that came with this particular tablet.
Looking for other options found one that allegedly works with VFP even have samples, the site is http://www.topazsystems.com. The samples for VFP are under http://www.topazsystems.com/software/download/foxpro/index.htm maybe this is an option, but will need to buy a device to test it, tried them with the device I have and it doesn't work. So far I've seen that the programming will only work for the device is designed for, so I'm a bit reluctant to buy this device without investigating the company further. AiR Aida I. That looks exactly like what I'll have to do. If anyone sees any kind of Windows-based hardware that has a pressure sensitive pad built-in, incorporated into the computer device, that could also be used to capture signatures, that would be ideal. Then any software would capture the signature and export to somewhere. A VFP program could grab the exported signature. There are more details but you can figure them out.
