Malcolm, The only problem I've had with it is that SOMETIMES if you are refreshing the grid from a times, the dynamic tooltips suffer from a lag of about half a second.
Currently I'm investigating some modifications to Dave Bernard's code to use actual Windows "hints" as a substitute for tooltips as you can add Icons and variable fonts to the windows "hint" which is actually a windows form. Apart from a few small issues it is nearly working and I'll post a link when I get the whole thing stable enough to use.
