You're probably right, I'm not sure what PSI they're using.

Hi Michael,

The air compressors in gas stations or even body shops could not
efficiently air up an air car. You would need as many horsepower of
compressed air to run an air car as you would need gas or diesel engine
horsepower.

If you had fifteen cars lined up to be aired like these big gas stations 
have for gas it would take a compressor the size of a locomotive. Not 
only that, the pressure involved would require an engineering license 
for each attendant, self service would be a no-no.

You would need a tank capable of maybe 4000psi, which would have to be 
certified every so often, at least in the US. In the far east the laws 
might be different. Failures of these tanks would result in fatalities.
