True, but it is a cost/benefit. Probably pretty easy for most ecommerce sites to calculate. How many sales from IE7 customers versus the cost of backwardly conforming. If you sell to old farts like me, probably worth the effort to support IE7. If you sell to a young demographic, probably not. If you sell to geeks, just post a page saying "are you insane?"
