I've reviewed the SET DATE formats and don't think there's one to match 
the input I'm receiving, which is in the MMDDYYYY format.  Just wanted 
to double-check the brain trust here.  :-)

I was going to import as a character(8) then do a translate via text 
manipulation into the DATE(YYYY,MM,DD) function, but wondered if 
someone's got a better idea?
