Backup bad, SQL scripting good.

Use the SQL Server Management Studio to generate a script (it's in a
weird location, like Tasks, at the database or server level), wobble
through the dialogs, selecting the files, adding the option for
including the data, and de-selecting the one data table you don't
want.

Scripts are Good (tm).
