Aw, c'mon Ken. Gimme a break! I never know what to do. Top or bottom? Full or nothing? I try to keep it down, honest! I think that the list server just isn't in sync with Outlook or vice- versa. And I am stuck with Outlook, so please don't try to lure me into using something else. You would be wasting your carpal bandwidth.

Look at the text you quoted from Ken. How much of it is needed to understand the context of your reply? Do you really need to tell us that what you quoted is the "Original Message"? Does repeating the header information from his post enable anyone to understand your reply better?

All you need to quote is what you are replying to. Outlook has no way of knowing this, so it just quotes the entire thing. It is up to you to be considerate enough to delete the extra crap that Outlook dumps.
