To create a plain text message in Thunderbird...
Create new message
Select OPTIONS from menu on new message
Select FORMAT from drop-down menu
Click Plain Text Only in fly-out menu

How would I go about testing plain text?  My clients only render HTML as
text and won't display the text part.  I have Outlook, Thunderbird,
Eudora and Gmail.
