The runtimes do NOT require registering.  My (sole remaining) client 
(I'm officially retired) is running my VFP9 app, with run-times in the 
app folder, on a machine that also has VFP6 installed.  I assume that 
the VFP6 run-times were registered as part of the install.  We have 
never had any problems.  If we did, I'd uninstall VFP6, since we only 
use it on rare occassions to look at data problems.
