Since the square brackets are also string delimiters in VFP, does the code
that accesses SQL Server syntax use them as string delimiters? If so, it
could confuse the content of the string.
ie:
m.somevar = [this is a [string in square brackets] would fail]
or maybe:
m.somevar = [&othervar]
