192. has always been the starting point for me and my Linksys's. The disconnected pc's were all in the 254 range (I think). I just reconnected to the Linksys & I'll know for sure if it craps out again.
... but what difference does all this make? I've got to connect to my network for stuff to communicate & get backed up.
