I recall once having a meeting with a NYC VC guy, all dressed up in an
expensive suit, who offered a deal that would have had him owning me
when I defaulted on his impossible terms. I soon realized that I might
as well have been talking to the mob. But this guy seems different. To
be sure he is a money-man, so all the bewares apply, but if I were
looking for substantial backing and a fair deal, I'd give talking with
him a go.
