Dave I did copy the "Paste HTML to embed in website" code and it works but is not suitable for modification because it contains a load of unnecessary stuff. However, with information from the link you sent for Google Map Parameters, I will be able to pare the code down to a minimum omitting all unnecessary parameters.
I will have a go this evening Many thanks Paul -----Original Message----- From: ProfoxTech [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Dave Thayer Sent: 29 November 2012 14:52 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Display a Google map on a form On Thu, Nov 29, 2012 at 7:18 AM, Paul Newton <[email protected]> wrote: > I want to display a Google map in a browser control on a form but the > map should be centred on and have a marker for a UK postcode (which will not > always be the same postcode). > Any ideas as to how I could do this? Simplest thing to do would be to load a url like <https://maps.google.com/maps?q=NN15+6PE> in your browser control. There a lot of tweaks you can add to the URL, the wayback machine has this copy: <http://web.archive.org/web/20110714031648/http://mapki.com/wiki/Google_Map_Parameters> Anything more sophisticated would require using the Google Maps API, but last time I looked they wanted a fairly hefty license fee to use it on anything other than a public-facing web page.
