I'm really sorry to disappoint you guys but its nothing more sinister than Windows 8 awful metro mail app. It seems not to have a plain text setting but as some of my emails got through ok I didn't know. I'm in webmail at the moment as I am away from home and my normal outlook machine. What's really bad is there seems no way to turn plain text only on in this crappy mail client (see, I don't like everything M$) Al
