Well, there are 2 hours and 45 minutes to go before the world ends at
midnight. I hope I'm in the wrong time zone, because I would hate to
disappear before I got to see Darlene Love's annual performance of
"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" on Letterman.
Apparently, though, even though the world is ending at that time, there are
a few places, such as a missile silo in Nebraska, and a small town in
France, where the world is not ending.
So in the event that we all survive, I'd like to wish each and every one of
you a very happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year. Thank you all
for being here.
