        If it has Spotlight installed (default), press either Ctrl-Spacebar or 
Cmd-Spacebar to activate it. A small blue dropdown should appear in the upper 
right part of the screen. Type 'terminal' in there, and it should find 
everything related to that word, including the Terminal application. 

        Alternately, if she has access to the Finder, go to the main 
Applications directory, and find the Utilities folder within. The Terminal app 
is inside Utilities.
