Aha! I think Allen has fingered the problem.
Mine works because I always turn the SysMenu OFF (we use a "menu window"
with large command buttons instead). Iirc, 24 pixels is the height of
the SysMenu. I set up the window first, turn SysMenu off, and then
restore the size values, which works.
If you pay careful attention to exactly what's showing when you save and
restore, you should be able to make it work consistently.
