SUV's are wrong, but people aren't necessarily wrong for choosing them, given the choices available coupled with their own ignorance. Hybrids and lithium-powered vehicles are wrong, too (there is nowhere near the supply of lithium in the world to build even a fraction of the cars needed, and the cost (social, environmental, and out-of-pocket personal cost) of replacing the batteries every 10 years is too high), but at least they are a bridge technology to a brighter future.
