Depends upon whether you want to bundle it on the Apple store as an App. 
Michael is correct in that a lot changed a couple of years ago with Apple 
trying to tighten up on Apps that in effect they retail for the developers 
through the Store in a similar way that on iOS you can only write to folders 
within the Application Namespace apart from a few well documented folders.
