Anybody know of any good reading that will clarify the forwarding, routing, etc. of IP's using a dsl modem.

I have set everything up according to all the manuals I have read.
I even took the router out of the system and hooked it directly to the dsl box.

Viking seems to be a proxy server and I'm thinking it is probably used by windstream communications for their dsl lines.

At this point I'm ready to throw the computer out the window, shoot it, sip on some turkey and shoot it again, sip on some turkey and shoot it again, until I run out of turkey or shells''''''

Yep, I realize that won't fix the problem, but it may help me to fill better <grin>

Thanks,
