My best understanding of this when it happens is somehow VFP's file handle to
the SCT is invalid; how or why is a mystery. You may see a TMP file in the VFP
temp files (SYS(2023) location which is the under the hood backup of the SCT
but in general your only option at this point is the 3 finger salute. As SCT is
also the file extension for some VB stuff, they can also be flagged for
scanning/quarantine by AV software, in which case you might also find something
there.

HTH?? Well - ah - not exactly in my current situation! But, I appreciate the
input. Sorta like people always saying others should do Backups - and then want
to bang your head when you lose stuff and DIDn't backup!

Backups on this? Nope! I sure hope the whole Screen isn't trashed. But, once I
open it up again - if I can - I sure will back it up ASAP!!!

Kurt: I have seen this once in a while. I am not sure what causes it but
whenever I make any change to a method I save once I am happy with it. That
way I don't lose it. I also save a backup of a form when I am going to make
significant changes or even do a save as and rename it in the project. I have
lost too much over the years not to be over cautious.

HTH
