I just ran into a similar problem, it could have something to do with 
read-write permissions or files being marked as read-only.

First, have you closed all instances of VFP and reopened? This could be as
simple as a hanging file lock. Reboot Windows.

Second, when's the last time you backed up your project?

USE the PJX as a table, browse it, and figure out what's in record 20.

Check that file, and its associated indexes, memo fields, etc. Check for
permissions. Try to open it as a file.
