Stephen - I know you replied directly to ME - but, it was actually MIKE who
was looking for a response - as he's the one looking to make the change. I'm
still now working Strictly w/VFP - and, when not VFP - I'm now a TOTAL Rapid
Prototyping guy - as I did the MAJOR JUMP into more Hi-End RP systems with
the Purchase of a Mojo printer by StrataSys. I did that - because I know how
a TON of my Prototypes on Exhibit at the Stonybrook Cultural Center - which
is now my foray into public display of my productions - and the opportunity
to SELL my productions!!!

(Sorry Mike if I went a bit off your topic here.)

Hey Mike - not sure if this will help. But, someone on this list here a
while back mentioned a book that helped you transition between VFP &
C#/.net! I did download it on my work computer - but, that was at my last
job - and I don't have it nor the link to the book anymore. You may find the
link on the Archives. Although, still not sure if its what you need - but,
maybe worth a shot...

I found better info as asp.net They have videos for free that will go over
just what to do. That book is free on the internet but is out of touch with
C# in it's current version, or how we work with C# today.

http://www.learnnowonline.com/learndevnow/ has a ton of video as well.
Annual subscription is 79 or 99 and worth the price.

http://www.learnvisualstudio.net/ was my race to better coding and I got a
lifetime for 99 but that was back in 2004-5.

To be honest most of what you know to do in VFP is built around how the
engine works in VFP. Trying to do that with another language is difficult.
VFP is CONNECTED to it's data and all other languages are disconnected, thus
how you operate in code will have to change.

Are you interested in Winforms, web or handheld devices to start programming
for?
