The problem was a result of recreating the RecordSource for the grid. Each
time that happened, the grid lost its formatting (columns, click events,
etc.).
What I ended up doing was to use two identical tables: orderstemp and
ordersgrid. I made ordersgrid the grid's RecordSource. Every time I had to
refresh the grid, I'd do so in orderstemp, then zap ordersgrid, and append
all the records from orderstemp into it. And all is well.
I did this and the only "gotcha" I caution you against is if the cursor
is an updatable view. Zapping an re-adding can be dangerous in this case.
Did you see that code I posted on SaveSource and RestoreSource methods
in your grid class?
