I took french in school until grade 12, and I didn't catch on. It was
called conversational french. It probably had to do with my french
speaking friends.
I remember the mother of one of my friends talking on the phone, "Mon
husband et skidoo crazy."
This was totally different than what was taught in school and I could
speak lie that easily.
