I have tried several times to subscribe to the group on PHP.net, but for some reason, I just can't.
When you say "you just can't", what do you mean? Do you mean you get an error? Or that you just can't bring yourself to stoop so low? Or something in between? :)
Seriously, I've been on the PHP list for a while; there's a LOT of info on that list... hundreds and hundreds of messages a day, which means my mailbox is a great archive and resource. :)
But data-savvy, hell, not even the MySQL list has very many data savvy people on it, funny enough.
