One more thing on this:
The important part of making this work is to make absolutely sure that
Windows doesn't get its filthy hands on the output. The Okidatas will
happily print whatever comes over the cable, whether you programmed it
or the Windows drivers added it afterward. That's why RawPrint is
such a great tool.
If you want text output for any reason you can always use a DOS foxpro
layout. Works great printing to a file and no doubt printing as well.
It must be designed or edited only using FPDos so that when you open the
.FRX file there are only DOS entries in there. You can then call the
layout from VFP7, 8 or 9 and print to a file. We use this method here
to create a text version of delivery notes (or invoices) and store it in
a memo file. You can then have a quick view of the delivery note
available (for say warehouse staff) without having to open using a PDF
reader etc. I'm told this is more secure for RDP sessions as well.
