What about windows machines infected with viruses? You can do all the
cleaning up you like but you can never be 100% sure you've got rid of
it. I've come across lots of people whose home computer has become
infected because their kids use it and go on the wrong sites etc. I
always recommend a reinstall especially if they do any internet banking
or shopping on line. A lot of machines now come with the OS on a
separate partition so it's quite easy to do.
