Dan Bricklin is a giant in our field, co-inventor of Visicalc and a number
of other cool pieces of software, writes an essay on the general appeal of
AlphaAnywhere, the latest product from Alpha Software, who wrote
DBF-compatible Alpha4 and Alpha5.

He mentions FoxPro in the article, hence the lack of [NF].

Alpha5 was a pretty useful tool for some of my clients back in the 90s as a
browse-and-report tool. I suspect this is worth a look-see.
