Roger,
Have you searched your system for all locations of the file?
I usually open a CMD window and use a command such as:
dir c:\api-ms-win-core-inter*.dll /s/a/b
If you are running a 32-bit application on a 64-bit OS, you'll be using the
one in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.
