Tristan,
Andy has just put a post onto Foxite www./foxite.com in the General section
regarding the Article and I Quote:

"Too late. The article has been pulled and the author has already apologized
for mis-representing the facts. Apart from that the whole project was, and
is, under NDA, and even if wanted to say anything, I couldn't.

I am more than happy to share my thoughts on middle-tier component design
generally, and I currently have a couple of projects running using a similar
architecture to the one disparaged in the article and it is proving fast,
flexible and effective.

What I have found especially useful has been VFP's ability to store
functional class definitions in local metadata and instantiate them on the
fly when needed. Since the definitions are in metadata, application updates
are achieved by updating metadata the table. No re-compiliation or
distribution is needed and there is no down time.

Regards
Andy Kramek "

"I know those guys, They're VFP Fanatics. Their married to each other.
And they're a little bit off their rockers.

Do a google search for any books about Visual FoxPro. Ten to One, any recent
books you find were written by them by them. They're based right here in
Ohio.

Don't want to say much more, they have influence in the company I work for."

I wonder?

Ok, let's analyze this one. :-) Anyone have any good reasons for doing the
design the way these folks did?
