Ah. You didn't say the error was on just one system.
I would reboot that system (with the error) and see how things look. If
it still has a problem, then I would reboot one of the 'good' systems to
see if it suddenly has trouble with the CDX, too. If the CDX is small
enough, perhaps the workstations that are not having trouble are
accessing a cached copy?

Good Afternoon!
Problem with VFP9 App. Runs on a network about five or six workstations
accessing it. Have one user that has been using Windows 8 (in the event
that makes a different) and working fine.
Today they were attempting to start the application up and they are
getting
an "error reading file" when accessing a cdx file! Seen that with a lost
network connection an a program, but never an index file??
Any thoughts anyone?
