There is some very interesting stuff in that Intellisense System. Well
worth digging around.
I presented one of the first papers on it, in New Orleans in 2000. Since
then, there have been a couple of excellent articles written up on it,
including Doug Hennig's, one of the best. A web search should turn up lots
of material, when you're ready to learn more. It definitely takes some
getting used to, but can be a powerful ally once you learn it.
Thanks, Ted, I'll do that.
Might as well spend that little extra time. Have to make up about ten
years of being away from the Fox. I went off and published a magazine
and the only programming involved during that time was processing the
mailing list each month. VFP6 was quite adequate (read 'overkill') but
now I'm back with VFP9 SP2 and that's quite a shock to the system I tell
you. Features that crept in between VFP6 and VFP9 are incredible. One
should never have got involved with paper and ink.
Add to that the programming :-) I set out a few days ago to import
25,000 words into a file (for an unrelated exercise) and suddenly had to
stop and think how to do it. Fifteen years ago I would have written the
code and had it running in the time it took to get under way.
Much appreciated Ted.
