Since your client uses GMail in the browser, and GMail Notifier, here's how to set it up:
Go to the settings menu (2nd row, upper right, gear icon with a dropdown arrow next to it) and click Select the 'help' option from the menu Enter 'mailto' in the help search box Click the topic link for 'Making Gmail your default mail application' Follow the instructions.
