I am an R. I don't get invited to the D parties, but you are correct that Ds 
are more likely to use an Acupuncturist. They identify strongly with Red 
China, where modern Traditional Chinese Medicine came from.

I am an economic liberal, but a social conservative, thus the R membership. 
It's getting to "When you're a Jet you're a Jet all the way" in politics, 
however - more like gangs than organizations. No one understands or believes 
you unless you are absolutely doctrinaire on all the party's talking points.

It was worse when I was a D, the Rs are slightly more open-minded. Not much 
more, though.
