Now that I have completed my research at KAAW, I am looking to supplement my
income and get back into the game of programming as I find it much more
appealing than building fence or asking you if you want paper or plastic
with that.

As most of us know, things have changed since I was active and I need to get
up to speed in either the corporate world (.net), or what everybody else
seems to be using (php, mysql, python).

As for myself, I have no preference in respect to programming languages,
although I would prefer that it is something that will not go the way of
foxpro, if that is possible.

I am not too impressed with what I've seen with elance, odesk, etc. simply
because people are bidding $200.00 for a 90 day multi-person team project
(seems that way anyway).

I learn best by working on projects, so what I'm looking for is small
projects that would typically cost a company $200.00 for a half day, or full
day's work that do not have a real tight deadline.

This way I can charge $100 up front and $100 on delivery, and have 4 or 5
days to teach myself the skills that I need to accomplish it.

If it works that way, I can gradually get to a point where I can make $200
per day or $1,000 per week which is my goal.

Where should I look for projects like this, or where should I hang my
shingle so that it will be seen by those who have need of such a thing?

My resume can be found via the following link.

Basically I'm looking for a way to supplement my income so that the things I
am wanting to do on this page are possible and so that I can pay my bills,
and once my skills are back to snuff, get hired by a firm near here, or by
somebody that will allow me to work from here.
