I've been wanting to experiment with linux and this might be the thing that gets me off the sidelines.

There is, actually, a Unix version of FoxPro that will run under Linux. It's been years since I used it, but, barring a few minor issues, most FPD programs will run straight on import into the system. (I actually don't remember what those minor issues were -- I used FPU more then 10 when the company I was consulting for was shifting from a local company to nationwide, and there were still problems with setting up Windows-based WANs. But I do remember that the conversions took little to no time to do.)
