... I was at DevCon in San Diego, along with a few hundred other Fox folk. The previous evening was, shall we say, quite enjoyable, with plenty of liquid refreshments consumed. I was as a result quite soundly asleep when my wife called me with the news that a plane had hit the WTC. In my grogginess I imagined a small two-seater airplane, but then she said that it was gone. I asked "The plane is gone?", and she replied "No, the World Trade Center tower is gone!". I don't think I have ever sobered up so quickly.
The rest of the conference was surreal, with all of us trapped at the hotel due to the grounding of all flights. You might think that was a sweet place to be stuck, but all I wanted to do at that point was find a way to get home to my kids. -- Ed Leafe _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
