As they say: when in doubt - add more RAM... This is out of my area of expertise, but isn't this 'other' computer in effect acting as a 'file server' in that it is serving up the data to the other machine? And when it comes to servers, RAM and disk speed (besides bandwidth) are the low hanging fruit for better performance? My take on this would be if it's a reasonably small table or at least compares in size to the other tables in the system, I'd monitor it and see what happens. Otherwise - when in doubt - add RAM... -- Matt Jarvis Eugene, Oregon USA _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/CAPT54rbomL9dkvVb3vZ-ptzn8zMSVMm4nwXoh6rdV_oHF95C=q...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
