Good Morning Tracy:
I appreciate all the possibilities that were sent! But the issue was ye old
exact string comparison in the case structure. One of the choices (first in the
list was 'Letters') when generated the report with the 10 fields. The next case
was 'Letters Summary' which generated the variable not found error on the
report. So, of course, with exact set off the strings were equal. Which led to
the wrong report to be executed.
So thinking the error was in the report I redid the report several times. And
of course this is time consuming because it has 27 fields and other stuff as
well. It never dawned on me the case structure was flawed because when I looked
at it, tired and hungry - no IPAs in the system, it looked ok.
So your trigger made me look at it this AM when bright eyed and bushy tailed
and it hit me like a 100 MPH slap shot! I changed the case and all now behaves
like it should.
This has bit me before and I guess I never learn. As Einstein said "the
definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and
expecting a different result each time..."
A real rookie mistake for sure!
Thanks for jogging the brain!
Best regards,

Jack

It is acting like you are calling the wrong report file.
