You said 2 different applications, same server.

Q: Same workstation, or different ones? You've tried running both on the same station, haven't you?

Q: Are the apps reasonably parallel? I.e., same general structure, reporting logic, coding style, etc.

IOW, both work on your machine. One works on production, the other doesn't. So what's different?

I don't see how data could cause it; most likely would seem to be some difference in initial settings when the app starts up (SET commands?) or some difference in the report setup or options (Font?)
