Thanks... Ted corrected my previous version and your solution should work too. Is it a problem that curDate uses slashes and the rest uses dashes. It's the firstDate that keeps getting flagged.

For example, you will notice that I specified j-M-Y in the first date format, and in the echo I specified Y/m/d That is no big thing. It just happened that way because of the examples I found on w3schools.
