Hi,
I had a request to help out a military body with their purchasing,
storing and distribution of supplies (food supplies, ammunition, etc.).
The basic process is :
1. get three quotes for the needed items
2. place orders (they may decide to take item 1 from supplier 3 and item
2 from supplier 1)
3. receive stock and store in warehouse
4. distribute stock to various locations
Of course there's more to it (like they MUST use particular paper forms
that are provided to them).
Having never looked at this side of things before, can anyone recommend
an existing system or even give me terms that people use for describing
this type of system to help with my research?
