Those of you who have been here a while will know that I have been using Basic4Android for development of our in hous Android projects and that I have been blown away by its versitility and ease of use.
Erel, the author/developer of B4A has now released a free cross platform development system called B4J (not as fully featured as B4A of yet...) that allows you to write/distribute true cross platform desktop apps, i.e. Windows, Linux and Mac Its available at: http://www.basic4ppc.com/android/b4j.html I've just knocked up an app for windows in 10 minutes and it looks good. OK, I know B4A and the IDE is identical, but I'm sure you guys will easily handle the initial learning curve. All the Java libraries that are in B4A are available for use in the product (assuming that they can use the apropriate hardware). Have a go and try it. Any problems then just shout and maybe I'll be able to help you, not this weekend though as I'm off to Italy for a couple of days! Keep safe all.
