It's pretty close3 to that. -1 means the query failed to run. 1 means it ran 
without error although that's no guarantee you got any results. I think mb was 
trying to figure out if he could directly get the return value from the query. 
With VFP SQL you can return results into an array but that's not the case when 
using external databases. So he just has to live with the overhead of the 
presumably in-memory cursor.

Well tried to come up with an idea.  It is just Bool value to to check.  Oh
