First thing to do is see if you can read the card on another machine.. Assuming that is true I would check the drivers for the SDCard in the Computer/Manage section to see if they are working OK. If they have simply been corrupted then you can remov the drivers and refresh the devices screen to get it to pick up the card reader device.
